I'm so sorry, Mel. It's such an awful thing to have to do. I know what you mean about the guilt... I had a dog when I was a kid and we had to have him put to sleep because he had cancer... it was so obviously the right thing to do because he was in so much pain and covered in sores, but when we got in the car to take him to the vet's, his tail was still wagging because he got to go on a car ride. That was like 11 years ago and I still cry thinking about it. Thinking about you, hon... you did the right thing, and she obviously knew that you loved her.
