John wrote a letter of recommendation for me, (one of the few times a scholarship will allow a recommendation from a friend/family member)I'm smiling like an idiot at my computer screen: To Whom It May Concern:
I have known Elona Jones no more than three months, but her powerful
camaraderie makes it feel like two years. In these short three months,
I have found a friend unrivaled in her ability to nurture others and
aid anyone that asks for her help. I have never had a friend that
connects with me on such an intense level. She has helped me endlessly
on my budding screenplay and on several other small projects for
others.
So many astounding traits come to mind when I think of Elona. First
and foremost, her individualism is unmatched. Everything Elona
involves herself in is completely unique. This ranges from her taste
in entertainment, fashion style and academic challenges. If
individuality is a factor for being approved for this scholarship,
then the contest ends here.
Another strong attribute Elona possesses is her undying loyalty and
companionship. She will spare no expense in making sure those
important to her are protected and secure. Elona has no problem with
challenging her mind or her body. In the past two years, she has taken
several AP courses and participated in track, basketball, and Tae Kwon
Do.
On a personal level, I want to say that Elona saved me, in every sense
of the word. Simply put, nobody wants, needs, or deserves this award
more than Elona. I have no hesitation in recommending Elona for your
scholarship.
Also, John and I went to Barnes and Noble yesterday and we looked through Out magazine and these pictures were in there :
