the end of a relationship isn't the end of the world ... and i know it is really difficult to deal with, but the fact that he has another girlfriend means yes, he is not in love with you anymore ... so why would you even want to be in love with him anymore? he's moved on, and you should do the same thing too. (hahaha. i can't/couldn't follow my own advice. but at least i haven't thought about jon in a while, so that's an improvement.)
yes, i know it was a big part of your life ... but it probably ended for the better. i can only assume that someone wasn't truly happy in the relationship, or that you guys had some problems that you couldn't work out. but now you have an opportunity to find someone who's even better for you.
and yes, you probably don't believe such a person exists ... but he does. he's out there somewhere, you just can't see him yet.
so go out and meet someone else. better yet, go get a job at the askwith library because you will meet so many cute boys >_the end of a relationship doesn't mean the end of the

I have met someone else but I am still in love with Max. He knows about Max though. He's very nice and he lets me talk about it.
Additionally, having a girlfriend doesn't automatically mean not loving the person you spent many years with (although, as it was pointed out, that is actually the case here) but it does mean he has moved on.
Anyways, I know I'll survive this but I do appreciate you taking the time to write this.
So thank you, Anu. You seem to be one of the few people that actually cares.
you are reminding me of myself and my ginger. i used to talk about jon to him ALL the time (usually about bad stuff and how he's an asshole, obviously), but it still must have been hard to deal with. why was i so obsessed with him, and how come i just couldn't drop it
