Kindle, baby!

I haven't posted on here in ages, mostly because my RL is a drag right now and until recently, Bones hasn't been squee-worthy (although last night's epi was omg awesome!). Excuses, excuses. I'm still alive and occasionally lurking on LJ, in case anyone was wondering. I will eventually get around to making a real post, but the reason I'm delurking ( Read more... )

Does the Kindle have a browser capacity? Because you'd need that to read directly from web BUT my boss told me he puts PDF files and Word docs on his to read - so you could definitely copy paste fic from web into Word and then upload them on there to read :)

Also HAI! It's so good to "see" you. Hope RL isn't being too tough on you ♥

I did end up copy/pasting some stuff into a Word doc. It was the only way I could figure out how to do it! It was a huge pain in the butt because I wanted bloodwrites's fics on there and, as you know, they are epic length.

RL is slowly improving, but it was tough there for a while. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I guess!

Funny! I just bought one myself and have every intention of putting my own writing on it. You can tranfer .doc and .pdf to it and even highlight and make notes and then transfer the whole thing back to your computer. So I'm assuming as long as you copy the story to a file you can do it? Maybe there's another way. If so, I'd be interested how. If you don't get an answer here, try posting the question to one of the bigger communities and see what they say.

So good to hear from you. Sorry RL has been a drag...

The only way I could figure out how to transfer fic is to copy/paste it from the web and send it to my Kindle. Kind of a pain when the fic is long, but it's still cool having it on there. :)

Just blowing you kisses... I have nooo idea. Granny is the one with the kindle and she can barely work it babe. LOL. Also she got mad and threw it against the wall so it's DOA now.

Unhelpful but last nights ep makes up for it, eh???

*grins*

One of these days we gotta do lunch or dinner. xxoo

We *definitely* need to get together! I can't believe it's been like a year since our fangirl meeting. And we're lucky enough to live near each other! We fail!
