You know, for an Anthropologist, Brennan really doesn't seem to understand the anthropological rational for marriage. Regardless of her ability to raise a child on her own, our Society still requires that little piece of legal scrap paper to connect two people. Being live-in lovers gives Brennan zero rights should Booth be injured or if something happens to one or both of them. Insurance won't recognize a live-in arrangement. So many little legal things and even more societal ones. Sigh. But, I still have hope for someday. Lovely piece.
