It's like I'm practically in the Harry Potter film! But not quite.

We're famous! (Sort of a bit.) Seeing the new HP trailer reminded me to tell you guys...they filmed an entire scene at my local train station!! I live in Surrey (when I'm not in London during university). But yeah - good ol' Dumbledore and Harry - woo hooooo! Of course the filming was months ago now, but since I wasn't using this journal at the ( Read more... )

1. Oh I heard how good it was and had to see it too!! I loved it, such I different take on the whole vampire-love thing. Maybe Twilight can take a few hints.

2. Oh I've seen a few promo things for that here and there, looks funny, will have to check it out sometime.

3. Never heard of it (well it sounds a tiny bit familiar), LOL.

1. ****Spoilers to anyone who hasn't seen the film*****! Yay you've seen it! I have a couple of questions...firstly, what did you think about the girl's scar when Oskar saw her naked? I didn't really think that much of it since I figure it just meant she's been through a nasty experience or something...but then I read on the internet that loads of people think she's a castrated boy?!?! I have to say, this never crossed my mind. I was wondering what you thought about it ( ... )

OK my thoughts were the same as yours, the whole boy thing just really freaks me out...

You know what I didn't want to think too much into it and wreak my "oh they ran off and lived happily ever after" moment. It's been quite awhile since I watched it. I might have to go back and watch it again.

I did a assignment on WWII back in high school, it made me so sad what the Nazi's did.

Omg, Quarantine. Haha, my friend bought a DVD of that movie (the remake) for us to watch during poker night. I tried to stop him because I'm a real coward when it comes to horror films, but when we did watch it, I was so drunk I laughed throughout the entire thing. I barely remembered anything. Was it any good?

Liam Neeson as Schindler = ♥ And I totally agree with you on the authentic feeling it gives. I liked Ralph Fiennes' performance as well, mostly because I love him to death. :p

Btw congratulations on making it to Harry Potter!

I didn't actually see the American remake...but I heard it was just a poor shot-by-shot make of the original! I doubt you were missing much...

I know!! Both Neeson and Fiennes were just...amazing. Fiennes literally made my skin crawl. He just acted that role so superbly. Could have just made it into another mindless Nazi but he really gave me an edge.

You're a superstar! LOL, that really is cool. There are a few places around here where some movie scenes have been filmed, and still, every time I drive past them I think, "That's where such and such movie was shot." Haha :)

It's gory but not in the glorified sense of the word. It's more realisitic than anything. These things actually happened. To be honest - I've seen gorier Nazi films - this one manages to be fairly "tasteful" considering. I really think you should see it! It's such an education.

And thank you!!
