that is totally mean! racist! evil! what's so disgusting about using a spoon and a fork? eh kung may gumagamit ng chopsticks doon during lunch, pagbabawalan din kaya niya?

this entry got me thinking though... if westerners use forks & knives, and most of asia use chopsticks, are we the only country that uses forks & spoons? pero if so... how come i was able to buy a fork & spoon pair of earrings IN china? :P

anyway, as i was saying, i've also wondered if the principal and that lunch hall monitor would've reacted the same if the boy was using chopsticks. it is a sad fact that sometimes, how these people think of asians depends on what part of asia they are from.

i made a mini-survey of sorts. indians, afghans, koreans use spoons for rice, too. i don't think they use them as much as we do, though.

i would've written a more formal letter of complaint, of course. but judging from the comments on the chronicle's site, i'm thinking this guy's probably receiving tons of hate mail by now.

i'm trying to figure out what the school board in roxboro is and just writing them instead.
