Well, today I was browsing the livejournal community patd, viewing the still-ongoing aftermath of the band’s split. And I figured, what else can make a rift in a community better than some tongue-in-cheek icons? The problem was, I’ve never made icons before. Ever. awesome icons for first time

I just started making them too but I still don't know how to do the text, add the text that isn't already given and how to crop a picture out like you did.

well, i use a version of photoshop elements that came with my tablet. it has a font tool built in, and for cropping out the picture, i just zoomed in x800 and carefully erased the parts of the picture i didn't want. i believe to actually crop a picture in photoshop, you can go to edit > crop?

You put the username in an lj user tag:

< lj user=cupcakerockstar > or < lj user=hyla02 >, just take out the spaces between the text and the less than and greater than symbols. The space between 'lj' and 'user' is supposed to be there. (:

I spy a Team Awesome Icon. :O Is that the team awesome I'm thinking of? Because my friend and I started the Team Awesome thing and made a community and stuff for it because we hate how fans were being divided and everything.
