Congratulation on narrowing down your thesis topics. That was my main problem when I did mine. And you're right, a set schedule helps a lot while writing one. By nature I tend to procrastinate, so actually forcing myself to sit down and follow a routine everyday is the only thing that got me thru.
My vote is post the playwitch cover. Yes, a lot of fans have moved on from HP, but there are a lot of us still here who would love to see what you have drawn - catchy saying or not. You definitely haven't let anyone down at all, by not drawing for a bit. When RL is going nuts, it's only natural that other priorities come first. *shrugs*
Also, my two cents worth is that you should never stop drawing - ever. You are so, so very talented, and should never give it up. From what I've seen, drawing and art is a form of release for artists and the very process always makes them happier. Even if you are not drawing for anyone else, or any fandom, do it for yourself.
I vacationed in Charleston a couple of years ago in the spring and still sigh wistfully at the memories. I didn't get to Savannah though. I'd love to see pictures if you post them.
Speaking of HP, I know of a couple of groups at dA that want to include your artwork. They're just awaiting your permission........
Definitely post the cover! It doesn't matter that some people have moved on, because I'm sure they still love your drawings, no matter what they're of :) And yes, should definitely start drawing again; you've got an amazing talent!
Congratulations on your thesis! There is always something exciting about the journey to accomplishment, and the feeling of fulfillment you'll have once it's complete. Good luck!!
I would honestly be delighted if you began to draw again. I know that the D/G world has slowed down, but there are still a lot of fans who are interested in your drawings. If one of your problems is that you're worried about catchy sayings to put on the cover, why don't you explain what the cover looks like, and maybe you'll get a few suggestions from your fans.
As to the topic of what to draw, I've always adored your HP inspired pieces, but honestly you should be drawing whatever is exciting and fun for you!

I have to start thinking about my thesis too, and I'm still doing my undergraduate. Your's sounds really cool though.
