The Truth About Spam

I'm getting a lot of spam at the moment; I mean lots even for me (it's one of the perils of being online for so many years). This extra-heavy spammage is something which always happens for a while after I've made a popular post (do other people find that happens?), and it got me thinking about who actually sends out spam, and how people feel about it. So I thought I'd ask you all some nosy questions. :)

I've tried my best to make this poll unbiased, and I've set it so that no-one can view the answers. I'll do a recap in a day or so, keeping everything anonymous.
