fast & easy recipe for sweet breakfast crepes. great for when you don't have time to wait two hours for the batter to "rest" in the fridge.

i used to make these in the mornings for my girlfriends. i've been told it's a wonderful thing to wake up to, the smell of crepes and coffee.

i so much wish i were ambitious enough to actually try this.

i'm not, though. cooking is not a talent of mine.

maybe the cute boy flying to visit me in three days is a better cook then me. maybe i can persuade him to be my culinary slave as well as my sexual one?

hmm. i don't get the impression that his approach to cooking is very different from mine though, really. i think it won't work. sex, politics, literature and fingernail polish are where his talents lie.

it's a really easy recipe.
if i can make it,
it's got to be easy!

the only other things i can make are:
fried rice, egg mc muffins, fried eggs,
boiled eggs, and umm... oh, pasta.
other than that i stick to microwavables!
oooh oooh i can toast things too!

Dutch pancakes are like crepes, just a bit thicker and bigger. Eddy can flip them over. He is so talented.
And a good cook.
We differ in our cooking styles. I am best without a recipe and he is more orderly.
Dutch pancakes are eaten with molasses. They come in sweet and salty varieties. (With bacon cooked in them or cheese or raisins or pineapple...etc)

mmm i never thought of molasses.

yeah there's this restaurant in santa barbara
called pacific crepe where none of the staff
speak a word of english ("omlette." "ham?"
"omlette?" "ham?") but they make great breakfast,
dinner, and dessert crepes. the dinner crepes
are much thicker but they're all the size of
dinner plates. mmm. unfortunately the menu is
in english (which they don't understand)
so you sort of have to point to the menu
and make wild gesticulations.
