it is a really interesting book that everyone should read. The future is fucked up. For safety precautions everyone carries packs of birht control (condoms, pills, etc.) b/c sex is seen as a "recreational activity" as you say...it is acceptable to have a lot of sex in the future. There are many other interesting points in the book. I suggest you read it.
