There are many mistakes in the post as various assumptions are written as facts but I cant be bothered to point out them now Just saying

Then why don't you help me, so I can correct those mistakes? You're just criticizing without being helpful. At least I tried to make a post that explains everything. Have you?

A lot of things in Ergo Proxy are open to interpretation and I did the best I could. Other interpretations of the ending and backstory of Ergo/Monad/Proxy 1 are possible, but I went with the ones that were mentioned the most on the Internet and the most plausible.

If you want a different meaning for the ending you should read one of the previous anonymous comments. The ending can be interpreted in different ways.

I love how this guy just ups and "oh well technically there are these and these and these flaws in your arguments, but im not going to even bother mentioning any of them because i'm so superior like that. Notice how cool I am"
Ergo proxy has a ton of things that you have to interpret yourself with no factual answer ever being brought to light. basically, "if this makes sense to you and we never tell you otherwise...then go for it, why can't this argument be valid?"

atleast be Critically helpful and not just critically big mouthed without any actual opinions or advice.

Thank you for taking your time to write such a lengthy explanation. I watched Ergo Proxy twice couple of years ago and returned to it now after nostalgia took over me. I still found couple of interesting and new things for me in your explanations!

But I'm still wondering about the references and symbols that were used in EP. Like we hear couple of times "cogito ergo es" - I think, therefore you are. I've never seen this variation of "I think therefore I am" and google couldn't help me much either.
Also some clues are vague, like Real having a ball of thread all the time, in the series someone mentioning Ariadne who lived in maze (Ariadne's ball of thread from Greek mythology), then at the end of ep22 Proxy One tells Ergo Proxy "you finally made it but how are you supposed to find your way out of this labyrinth, Vincent Law". I can't quite connect these. Is Real somehow like Ariadne, who fell in love with EP and gave him a way out of the labyrinth he was stuck in? What would be the labyrinth Proxy One mentions?

Real's ball of thread and cogito ergo sum (I think therefore I am) are explained in PART 2 of my explanation guide. It explains other things and details of the episodes. You can find the link at the top or at the bottom of this post.

I don't really know about the labyrinth though.

I understand the "I think therefore I am" part. But couple of times they say "I think, therefore you are". I thought that should be another direction of philosophy that I'm not aware of. But actually this may be a demonstration of subjectivism - "philosophical tenet that our own mental activity is the only unquestionable fact of our experience. In other words, subjectivism is the doctrine that knowledge is merely subjective and that there is no external or objective truth." (from wikipedia). Episodes where proxies project their visions in Vincent or Pino in a dream-like fashion where they are having hard time to tell difference from reality may be another evidence of this philosophy (subjectivism ( ... )

Ah, I didn't notice/remember them saying 'I think therefore you are' instead if 'I think therefore I am'. I think subjectivism is a really good theory. You might be right about Ariadne from Greek mythology too.

It's just that they put in so much stuff from philosophy and mythology in the anime and since I don't know much about either subject, I didn't notice those things (or find them on the Internet at the time). Good find! I don't really have much philosophy stuff in my posts because of that.
