4 things Hatter would change about Camp?

#1. The sex rule no longer applies. At least not all of the time, and not to Hatter. Other people getting zapped for their dirtiness by camp can be sort of funny. Where by sort of, I mean hilarious depending on the circumstances. But in the end, Hatter's no good with enforced celibacy.

#2. Aesthetically, the farm isn't really Hatter's taste. The swamp was better, but still lacking. If Hatter was allowed to make very large scale changes... the whole place would probably end up a maze, or a mishmash of game boards or something. If Christopher Nolan reimagined Jim Henson's Labyrinth? Something like that.

#3. Mistletoe all year round! Or. More related things. It doesn't actually just have to be kissing, really, but things that force people to interact in uncomfortable ways. Not that camp doesn't do things like that often, but Hatter really likes the mistletoe model, okay.

#4. Everyone gets more wardrobe changes.

He makes :3 face in canon! I love it!

Really, he's kind of a troll. I think that was a big part of the appeal. Not like Hatter is a troll, but he has a very trolling sense of humor. He teases a lot, he's sarcastic with Hijikata but mostly just to piss off Hijikata, and he has pretty complicated feelings with some of those things. In general, he hides behind humor, which is a trait I'm often drawn to. He's the kind of character who can joke about killing people, or dying, and at the same time still make really dumb jokes about inconsequential things.

Also, he makes really BAD life choices. SPOILERS which I won't hide bacause I'm too lazy to format, but... I was explaining this before, but he basically becomes a fail!vampire in a fit of gay rage after Kondou is injured. Normally he's smart, but he was already struggling with feeling weak because of the TB, and then BAM, gay rage, he knows he shouldn't have done, after being enabled by someone he knows he shouldn't trust. But he does it anyway because some shanking to do. You know ( ... )

Probabbbbly Furuba? Pretty peaceful and similar world, but with a twist in that fairytale type stuff is possibly real? The problem with my lineup is that the worlds are either already like the real world or they're war zones, sob.

Have any of your characters picked up new hobbies since they've been in camp? For example, Nakatsu has learned to knit since he's been here.

Soooomewhat. I don't know that there's anything that would really count as a hobby, exactly, but the characters who have been in camp longer have been exposed to a lot of different things, and some of them did become interests. I think Ino's picked up more interest in Western cooking, for example? It's not exactly a new hobby. You'd think Neji would pick up more hobbies than he has, but he's sort of fail at having hobbies to start with.

I think Pell is a little /)_= about Neji's lack of relaxing interests.

How is Michael feeling about Hatter right now? Is fiery death imminent?

What is the relationship between Okita and Hijikata, in your canon?

Complicated! Seriously, it's something that comes up. It comes up a lot in the drama CDs. Hijikata thinks Okita hates him. Kondou thinks Okita looks at Hijikata like an older brother, and that he antagonizes him like a younger sibling would. Saitou wonders about it fair amount, because on the one hand Okita trolls Hijikata about his bad poetry, but on the other hand he memorized all of his poems to do that, which doesn't seem like something he'd do if he just didn't like Hijikata. Okita often says that he doesn't care about Hijikata, and that he trolls him because he's talentless and deserves it, etc, but then in the anime his teasing normally seems to be trying to encourage Hijikata to do things that Okita does think would be good for him...

I don't think he hates him, but he does like being able to get a rise out of him. He can be jealous sometimes of Kondou's trust in Hijikata, because Okita is a giant fanboy for Kondou in Hakuouki, but I think it would be a little too simple to just reduce it to that.

So, how would Okita react to a third Okita in camp?

It would depend. I've thought about that, myself. It would sort of depend on the Okita, but one thing with Sougo is that he's not really supposed to be the SAME person, just a similar alternate person. I think that's a little easier to handle than if it were a different version of himself. I'm not entirely sure how he's react to a third Okita, and I'd be very curious to try playing it out, but I'm not sure how it would work out quite. I think he'd probably find a way to laugh it off in the end, though.

What was Oriya's reaction to Okita's identity in the game? XD

I think Pell's assessment of him is fairly accurate... sweet guy, but a little clueless about interpersonal relationships. He also feels like for all that Neji keeps to himself, he isn't sure how to be alone with himself. As evidenced by his lack of recreational pastimes. Training is not a hobby, Neji. He's sad Neji is sad, and wishes he was able to help more, but if ninja won't open up and also it's very comfortable with cuddles yet, he's kind of at a loss. It was pretty surprising to him that Neji was willing to accept comfort after the breakup ( ... )

Hatter, unlike Neji, has a wide variety of pastimes including but not limited to: stalking people, making out, drinking, reading literature, particularly anything either whimsical and childish but creepy, or erotic, playing card and board games, listening to music, playing dress up, consuming intoxicating substances in the privacy of some abandoned underground lab and monologuing to hirself, experimenting with hir magic within the bounds of camp, plotting, joking... pretty much anything that seems like it could be distracting for a while.

While I think Hatter actually handles the human pace of things in camp better than some of the angels, things can still get a little overwhelmingly human and fast paced from time to time, so Hatter does sometimes retreat into hir lair of the moment for the quieter hobbies. I don't think it normally lasts long, though, and then xe's back out looking for drinking partners and people to mess with.

Prooooobably Hinata. I miss having one. Though any Hakuouki characters would be pretty hot, and there are some AS and TB characters I'd love to see, at this VERY MOMENT, I want Hinata the most.

So what drew you to Reborn and Bel?

For KHR it was wanting to play Air Gear characters off Reborn characters, both here and at another game of mine that died about a year ago. I had seen plenty of Reborn characters in games, and really enjoyed Mukuro, but I decided to finally read the canon because my Akito and Agito at the other game were close to Chrome and Bel respectively and it prompted them ICly to read the canon. :D Yeah, it was that kind of game ( ... )

Neji has a complicated relationship with camp at this point, and it's hard to say he likes any particular aspect of it best, or that he hates any part of it exactly. There are things he likes and dislikes, but often even the things he dislikes have contributed to who he is now, and he's not unaware of that. If he were forced to admit it, he's liked the chance to define himself away from his clan ( ... )
