Abby grinned and punched the air. "Yes!" she shouted. She leaned down and peered into her microscope again. There it was, undisputed proof of alterations to the plant life.
She bounced up and down on her toes. There was no way any of them could ridicule her theories now. She couldn't wait to call the team and tell them.
Abby was about to reach over and grab the phone when a hand was placed on her arm.
"Stop," a harsh voice ordered. "Turn around."
She felt her heart jump as she turned around slowly. A man was standing there, looking neat and pressed in a tailored suit.
"I am with the NSA," he said abruptly and flashed a badge in her face.
"Not one for small talk, are you?" Abby commented.
He glared at her. "You will give me all of your samples of the corn. We will replace it with our own samples."
Looking over his shoulder, Abby noticed a large bag with corn in it. "And what if I don't," she said quietly.
He gestured over his shoulder and Abby noticed the Director standing in the doorway. "You will."

Abby raised an eyebrow when she heard from McGee that the crop circles had been made by the helicopter. It made sense. But it didn't explain the NSA agent. Obviously the conspiracy was bigger than she had thought. As she bounced her head to the music, Abby vowed that she would get down to the bottom of it all eventually.
