MOD NOTE: sales and defaulting sellers

Once again I was contacted by someone who has had the badluck to run into a bad seller. Unfortunately the sales post was located on another community.

But as I've told you all when we first got running: I actually give two shits about the communities I run (and it wasn't until I started this group and asking you all to let me know of problems ( Read more... )

personally, i would suggest it, yes. the question is not about livejournal "communities", but the community-of-people and the protection thereof.

exactly.

and if folks can't understand that, then they shouldn't be here. we are not the only community to take this philosophy in hand.

funny thing- a few days ago the person in question was a member of both this group and that other one and today when i went to talk to them i saw they had left not only this group but also the other one. now i'm not sure what to do.

I agree. If there has been a default on a sale, it reflects completely on that person. A lot of us are on multiple communities and have a lot of faith in each other. (to be safe in doing business)

Was paypal involved, and if so, I assume they've been notified.

Yes, if they've got a propensity to scam, they should be unwelcome everywhere.
