[A/N: For yeonah . Sorry, this is just… fail… Wrote this in a bit of a hurry and too stoned to actually write any better… soo…

I promise I’ll write a better HyunMin one day!]

A siren screamed its way through the city, and with its movement, several lights flickered on like blinking eyes wondering what was so urgent at 5.45 am in the morning.

Somewhere, in front of a building that several thousands of girls worldwide would kill to get the address of, a man, dressed in a loose basketball shirt and his boxers jumped up and down in the same spot screaming at something above him while emergency staff scrambled around him.

“HYUNJOONG! HYUNJOONG HYUNG! PLEASE! DON’T JUMP!”

The screams only made the staff more nervous, and somewhere, there was a loud curse as someone dropped a metal rod on his toe due to hurrying. But then, they did have something to worry about - the anxious man was not screaming at just plain air. Somewhere above them, sitting on a ledge that was supposed to be inaccessible, was a man. A man who seemed to be about to commit suicide.

Already, the man had tried several times to push himself off the ledge. But at every time, the hysterical man on the ground would shout something hysterical, and the man above would sway back onto the ledge. But these occasions seemed to happen with quite some frequency, and it was adding tension to and already nervous situation.

Things moved swiftly on until the hysterical man screamed yet again, and there was another clatter and curse as someone jumped and whacked his head into another person’s chin.

“Oh my God! There’s someone else!” the man was saying. Well, screaming. “Oh no! It’s Jungmin hyung! JUNGMIN HYUNG! QUICK! DRAG HYUNJOONG HYUNG BACK! YOU CAN DO IT! I KNOW YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!”

All around, the emergency people began to look up with hope in their eyes - perhaps this person could do their work for them, and the tax dollars that would be used for this rescue could be put to better use.

It never occurred to them that, perhaps, the man sitting on the ledge was, in fact, not intending to commit suicide.

You couldn’t blame them, standing below, they would not be able to see the magnificent view - the entire of Seoul spread before you, the city still mostly steeped in sleepy grey tones. It’s almost as if you’re on top of the world.

Jungmin sighed as he stepped out onto the ledge, carefully lowering himself down besides the man already there. He looked out into the horizon, spotting the beginnings of orange and nudged the man beside him. “Hey, Hyun. You’re gonna miss out on it.”

It said a lot when the man, usually so hard to wake, immediately woke at the touch. Rubbing his face, Hyunjoong yawned as he blinked blankly amused eyes at the scenery before him. “Oh… wow. Just in time.”

Jungmin smacked Hyunjoong lightly on the head. Below them, the commotion was still going on, but this high up, the noise wasn’t able to penetrate and break the moment. And the two set in silence, watching in mutual comfort as the sun broke through the clouds and made its slow graceful way through the sky.

Finally, when the sun became too bright to look at, Jungmin turned to Hyunjoong and chuckled. “If I hadn’t woken you, then maybe you’d have caused all this trouble in vain?”

Hyunjoong blinked at Jungmin, and slowly a bemused smile crossed his face. Now, Jungmin wondered which was more blinding - the sun, or Hyunjoong’s obliviousness.

With a violent fondness, Jungmin pushed Hyunjoong’s head so that it was directed at the ground and many panicking people. “That trouble.”

There was a moment of silence before Hyunjoong seemed to get the implication that they were all down there because of him. “…Hyungjoon called all of that?”

“Uhuh.”

“...” Hyunjoong looked up at Jungmin’s pointed look and hazarded. “I’ll be quieter the next time I sneak out here and see the sunrise?”

Jungmin snorted, finally letting go of Hyunjoong with a final noogie. “Just like you to be unrepentant.”

“Hey!” Hyunjoong protested, rubbing his head. He glared at Jungmin, pouting. “It’s not like you were so angelic either when you continued what we were doing while Hyungjoon stood shell-shocked at the door after he walked in on us.”

The smile on Jungmin’s lips was more of a smirked as he leaned down on Hyunjoong, hands in inappropriate positions. “Oh, I’ve never been angelic, Hyunjoong…”

And slowly, the city woke - birds stretched their wings, feathers fluffed after a good nights sleep. Harsh lights of the city are slowly turned off, and what takes its place is the soft morning light. And then, the shrill cries of alarm clocks, the moans and grumblings and yawns as people crawled out of their beds in various degrees of wakefulness.

It is a moment of softness before the hard day hits. It’s a moment of softness before things move on. Softness like that of the kiss that Jungmin pressed on Hyunjoong’s lips.

Below, Kyujong and Youngsaeng had finally come out, doing some damage control. The otter pulled the still hysterical Hyungjoon, who was now convinced that the two were going to do a couple suicide, back into the building, while Kyujong apologized for the inconvenience caused.

They exchanged looks with each other - they would have to talk to the other two about teasing their magnae too much. Hyungjoon was already on the verge of being checked into a mental hospital.

Meanwhile, Hyungjoon struggled in Youngsaeng’s surprisingly strong grip, and his eyes widened when the two seemed to be hugging each other, tipping slightly over the edge a little bit…

“NO!!!!!!!! JUNGMIN! HYUNJOONG! DON’T DIE!”

~*~

SMACK!

A whine.

“No, not on the ledge Jungmin!”

“But-”

“No buts!”

“…”

“…But I won’t mind if we continue this inside.”
