I cried so hard yesterday watching My Girl. What an emotionally exhausting movie. The entire second half is just pure hardcore pain and emotion. I think the most emotional part for me was during Macaulay's funeral when the little girl runs up to the coffin - 'Wanna go tree climbing Thomas J? His face hurts. The bees sting. i missed your party!!! we went to boring rics after mum's dinner party and i had possibly the most boring evening of my life speaking to welsh gits who were ugly to boot. i wish i had come to your place instead.

the party missed you too!!! i wish you could have come! i think you would have really enjoyed it, esp the bit from 2 - 4am where we cracked out the goon and got all emo with fiona apple and morrissey.. oh wells. wanna do something nxt weeknd?

Ha ha, that is one of my fave movies. I cry EVERY time I watch it. Way back when, I had it on video, and wore it out from wathicng it so much. I might go and watch it now. :)

be careful! i loved it as a kid too but forgot how incredibly sad it was! on the cover it says "a funny and moving family film"! Tt should say "a devastating, traumatic emotion-wrenching film of tears and pain". oh yes.

did you ever see my girl 2?

it had the kid from last action hero. (if anyone deserved an on screen death it would of been him)
I havn't seen it, but it looked really terrible

i'm reluctant to rent My Girl 2. I just know they'd ruin it (esp with that last action hero kid - pfft SO unattractive). Also i guess i'm a little scared that it might bring up some deeply ingrained emotional memories for me of My Girl 1, which could make me cry again.
