Last night I had a guest

Although it was under bad circumstances, so I wouldn't say it was 'fun'.

The guest was a juvenile cormorant.

Hopefully he makes it. Last week a baby red shouldered hawk was brought in to the hospital. I asked about it when I was there on Thursday and found out it had died. They didn't even know what caused it but figured that was why he had been pushed out of the nest. :(

There are cormorants and anhingas all over the place here. They are quite similar but you can tell the difference by the beak. I have a bunch of pictures of both of them. Here's one of an anhinga that I already had uploaded:
