People talk of church bells and sirens so much I would almost think I was back home. Well, more church bell than siren, really. I wonder why I cannot hear it though. Surely if more than one person claims to hear it, it must be true. Isn't that right? I would think so

Breakfast sounds good about now. Nothin' like a full stomach to take one's worries away. Syrup would make a good glue fer a pancake. If it were chocolate chip it might look like it had craters like tha moon!

Oh, do you know me? Pardon, but I can't seem to recall you. Perhaps this place whittles away my memory of others after being here so long (but I still recall my cat Dinah. How I miss her so).

Oh, would you like to come to breakfast? I'm sure the King wouldn't mind it, if you asked him. He's very nice.

Chocolate chip pancakes sound delicious! Maybe if he put the pancake up at night, it would have chips in it.
