4. What was the last show you attended? faaaaark. um...don't tell me it was Big Day Out surely? Ok I've probably seen someone since. But yeah its kinda hard when YOU'RE FAVOURITE FREAKIN' BANDS PLAY FREAKIN' 18+ VENUES AND YOU CAN'T FREAKIN' GO!!!!!!!
5. What was the greatest show you've ever been to? Oasis 96, Green Day (Rockit 2004), Ash Grunwald + Ben Lee + Missy Higgins, aaaaaand The White Stripes 03 on their solo tour. COLDPLAY! OMFreakinGod Madness live were awesome. Live 80's Ska is awesome.
6. What's the worst show you've ever been to? Suprised Kate but Ben Lee here but ah well. Ummmmm FREAKIN' Iggy and to Stooges at big day out. Props for the guy, BUT THEY TURNED THE FREAKIN' MUSIC UP so my ears were numb when the White Stripes came on.
7. What's the most musically involved you have ever been? Music is in my veins. I like to think I'm a semi anally retentive music snob. Like my father. I've always loved a good beat ever since I was a baby. I've been playing the piano for 12 years and counting; I've also played the flute, recorder, drums and guitar at some point or another. I love quizez about msuic, and I love to see if I can retain as much useless music facts as possible. I connect almost every experience to a piece of music. Yeah *Gasps* It's sometimes hard to point down into words how much music means to me.
8. What shows are you looking forward to? Big Day Out 07, Tripod in December. There's a few others I would LIKE to go to but you know...not 18+ :(
9. What was your first concert? Pretty sure it was Oasis 96. Fuck yeah BRITPOP :D
10. What is your favorite band shirt? I like my Little Birdy shirt, but I have to say my Ben Folds one takes the cake. Oh my Big Day Out thumbprint shirt is good.
11. What musician would you like to hang out with for a day? well...Alive? Elvis Costello, Patience Hodgson, Billie Joe Armstrong and Ben Folds. Dead? Johhny Cash, Young Elvis, Elliot Smith, Kurt Cobain, John Lennon.
12. Who is one musician or group you wish would make a comeback? Most of the bands that have split that I like would not be able to make a comeback because a member is deceased. Old school Blink maybe before Tom was such a wang.
13. Who is one band/artist you've never seen live but always wanted to? Where do I start? Angus & Julia Stone, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Beastie Boys, Hilltop Hoods, The Cat Empire, Placebo, Lilly Allen, The Dresden Dolls, The Grates, Hot Hot Heat, Jamie Cullum...ok I'm sure there's heaps more but I'm going to stop...
14.Name 4 or MORE flawless albums.
1. Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not - Arctic Monkeys
2. Hard Days Night - The Beatles
3. The Grates - Gravity Won't Get You High
4. White Blood Cells - The White Stripes
15. How many music related videos/DVDs do you own? I own a unoffical White Stripes DVD and the 2nd Urethra Chronicles of Blink-182. My dad owns some Elvis Costello and Bruce Sprinsteen ones.
16. How many concerts/shows have you been to, total? Fark. probably like just over 10 in my lifetime...probably nearly 20...I don't remember every single one though.
17. Who band have you seen the most live? R.E.M/Little Birdy/End of Fashion/Wolfmother/soon to be Robbie Williams...I've seen them all twice.
18. What is your favourite movie soundtrack? Walk the Line or Donnie Darko. Can't decide.
19. What was your last musical "phase" before you wisened up? Good Charlotte. I liked Blink and Green Day when it was ok to like them. And it generally wasn't new stuff, it was old stuff, so there's brownie points there too. Of course I had a Five and Spice Girls phase when I was much younger. But yeah. Everyone has guilty pleasures and it's ok to have them, because I believe that everyone can like what they want.
20. What's your "guilty pleasure" that you hate to admit to liking? Robbie Williams, although I don't consider him a guilty pleasure. Lots of R'n'B (not rhythm and blues for the music snobs out there) and Hip-Hop stuff that I can dance to i.e. Justin Timberlake, Nelly Futardo, Kelis, Missy Eliiot, Black Eyed Peas that kinda thing. C'mon when a girls gotta dance she's gotta get her groove on to something with a funkadelic beat. Indie music (bless my soul for saying something like this) just doesn't cut it to sexy dance too lol.
