I suppose it's time for an update.

School-wise, I have professors that I really enjoy as well as courses that are fun times. First, I'm taking Abstract Math with a delightful New Zealander. Being in that class reminds me of the fun times of Discrete. Mathematical logic really is quite fun and understandable to me. Most people I've encountered ( Read more... )

Actually, for my education and work experience, I can't complain at all about the pay. But yes, my main goal in life is to find a career I love. I've seen others struggle with jobs they hated but were somewhat trapped into for various reasons and have vowed not to get caught in that.

The relaxed dress code is rather nice but I've been trying to dress up a bit more anyway. I was raised to dress and behave as almost as seriously as I take my work and I've also been trying to polish up this frazzled and wacky image of myself. Not changing per se, more like looking less crazy. But yes, I feel extremely fortunate with my job situation. I'm very grateful for it.
