hehe I like them too...of course i'll listen to anythign as long as it strikes my fancy(meaning the music is good, lyrics, whatever...). I also agree witht the review.

"It doesn't matter if millions of people swallow their music, what matters is what you think of it with no one else's opinion. End of story" thats the way I've always felt about music(and movies, videogames, books, and anythign else really)

::sputters:: i'll let this one slide because you're too cool, but jhfjkdf! hahah..i agree with that kid's stance on originality, but it's sort of contradictory when you're talking about a band that is fueled off of 'what the kids want to hear.' i don't have much to gripe about when it comes to the MUSIC persay, but you've seen what i think of the lyrics. my biggest problem with story of the year is their complete and utter lack of lyrical creativity. i just feel bad for bands that are trying really hard and not writing about 'slitting throats' and 'dying days' and other emotional spittle and AREN'T getting anywhere because of the angst all over the radio. Angst is really middle school, to me.
nevertheless, i applaud you on your honesty, especially since you know i'd read this. hahaha.

one more thing. if a band is on MTV, more power to them. i just wish TALENTED bands would get famous more often than these carbon copy bands.
::don't hate me::

Sarah:
you are officially the reason this statement became a CONFESSION. You are the reason I grew to hate them because wooow do I not like the lyrics. All I said was that they know how to rock out, but mannnn do they try too hard with the lyrics, tis why it was easy for me to hate them along with you, I really do appreciate that you're letting this slide and you were pretty much the only person this was really directed to :) I'm glad you still love me haha, I love you too...I wish you were in town this weekend so you could come to our show :(

some of that stuff about slitting throats and dying days is real for some people. and i think that's what they resonate with. the question is if the listener believes the artist or not. i believe em.
