My only actual request is a happy ending for the pairing.
My only real DNW, it follows, is unhappiness for them. Specifically, I mean: no heavy angst, no character death, no character whump, and no partner betrayal/infidelity. Also, no sexual content with characters younger than 18.
Things I tend to love: comedy; romance; character studies; slice-of-life; futurefic; PWP; canon; canon fixes; canon AUs; relationships of comfort and security (and really awesome sex, if you’re feeling it); heat; humour; banter/bickering/affectionate snark; UST that resolves; reasonable misunderstandings that turn out for the best; families of choice; strong or powerful people being gentle for emotionally significant reasons; people who cannot express very intense emotions verbally, i.e. relationships where it’s clear they’re in love without the actual word coming up; characters being awesome (in your estimation); awkwardness; acceptance; and people taking care of each other. I love the potential they have to really understand each other - similar relationships with their dads, I reckon - and I have this thing for Draco being a complete prick to people who irritate him and, like, him being the exact sort of prick Albus likes best. Seriously, all my Draco/Albus fic is shades of Draco antagonizing the fuck out of someone and Albus finding it all incredibly hot and/or hilarious. Bonus points if Draco’s being a prick for good reason.
Pansy/George - I have written these two a bit, relevant tag here. God, Pants and Earless. I love the idea of these two as mutually supportive, making their own way in the world. Like they’ve both been through some shit, you know? And they’re their own fresh starts. Anyway, this is a ship of remaking yourself after a bad start and finding someone who’ll help you get there, even if it means mouthing off to Molly Weasley to protect your independence. Anything with these two taking care of each other - domestic fluff for the win here, particularly if it’s non-traditional - will delight me. Bonus points if it involves family of choice.
Star Trek: AOS
Sulu/Kirk - I have written these two a bit, relevant tag here. This is my shiny ship of reckless idiots in love, usually with some heavy competence kink thrown in. These two are throwing themselves off things and tossing themselves in harm’s way and they are *this* close to self destructive for their own sakes but they rein it in for each other. I love the contrast of Hikaru’s zen-under-pressure and Jim’s wily-genius plans, and I will never get enough of the many highly expressive faces of Hikaru Sulu. I’d love to see something with committment-adverse Jim running up against no-pressure, no-strings Hikaru, but really, pick your sci fi trope of choice.
Crossover ships
Clint “Hawkguy” Barton is kind of a fuck-up and I love that about him; his complete inability to make good life decisions without making things worse goes hand-in-hand with his complete inability to actually give up when it would benefit him to do so.
Don’t get me wrong, I love his awkwardness and his determination to do the right thing, and I am a sucker for his habit of protecting those who can’t protect themselves to the same extent, but maybe my favourite thing is how oblivious he seems to his own positive qualities. Hawkguy just doesn’t seem to get how great he is, which is every makeover-based rom-com ever, right?
Hawkguy/Steve Rogers (MCU) - I have written these two one time, relevant tag here. MCU Steve isn’t quite the a-hole of Hawkguy’s canon Cap but he does seem uniquely qualified to be the functional counterpoint to Hawkguy’s dysfunction. I mean, look at this. MCU Steve seems to me like a guy trying to find a home and Hawkguy, despite himself, has one, and I would dearly love to see something that works with that. Steve getting adopted into Clint’s Bed-Stuy family somehow - walking Lucky? rooftop dinners? landlord-style repairs while Clint’s off somewhere? - would make me so happy. Bonus points if somebody gets or gives a shovel talk.
Hawkguy/Bruce (MCU) - I have not ever explicitly written these two, but my general Clint/Bruce tag here, plus my Hawkguy fic here. MCU Bruce is a hot mess of self loathing and insecurities who also sometimes makes poor life choices despite good intentions and I think they’d get each other in ways no one else could. These two have the potential to be such excellent oblivious fuck-ups in love and I would futzing love to see it. Plus, aren’t they made for bff's giving facepalmy relationship advice? I think so! I’d love to see them talking to the coffee and trying to make Clint’s stuff work - could Bruce figure out the wiring on Clint’s television? - but anything with Bruce being adopted into Clint’s Bed-Stuy family would also be amazing. Bonus points for competence kink and/or Bruce using ASL.
