I chose the wrong career.
The worst thing about being a nutritionist is seeing how many untrained people think they know what they’re talking about on the internet. Just coz you read a book by a doctor (FYI Doctors historically spend only one day of their 7 years of study specifically on nutrition), or read a media report of a piece of research ( ( Read more... )

I feel very similarly about people who spout off horseshit (I'll be honest, particularly of a homeopathic/erroneous nature) re: medicines/medical conditions. Like, no. Sit the fuck down and be quiet, you do not know what you're talking about, assholes. You are not a doctor/nurse/pharmacist because you can utilize Google/WebMD.

I particularly love the comments that aren't just contrary to a specific idea or doctor, but to THE ENTIRE FIELD OF ACTUAL SCIENCE AND MEDICINE. Oh, you read a book by one batshit asshole the rest of scientific society has ostracized for being a batshit asshole, and that means you know better than everyone who went to medical school ever? I SEE.
