I boggled at the statement about Louis Armstrong and was trying to think of a song that he sang related to walking on the moon. The partial correction then made me laugh and also roll my eyes. It makes you feel old when events you saw on the news are now ancient (and badly remembered!) history.
I remember when both Roland Ratzenburger and Senna died. We were watching on TV and almost as soon as the marshals and medical staff got to Senna's car I said to my husband 'He's dead.' It was the way they were handling him - it is the way you handle a body, not a seriously injured person.
But it was Simoncelli's death that sticks with me.
That radio dj doesn't sound too bright. That said, I am old enough to remember sitting up until the wee small hours of the morning, to watch live grainy footage of the first steps on the moon.
She has a sort of posh South African drawl - and seems to spout more rubbish than any of the others. I usually avoid her programme but she was sitting in for one of the others who was on holiday.

I suppose we should be happy that she didn't remember 'Walking on the Moon and think the world's only moon landing was carried out by 3 policemen!
