There is still a lot of colour in the garden.

The lavender is all doing well -

Lavender is something I have never managed to get to grow ... it was also one of the few things Mum failed at, as well.

Oh yes, bees do like Sedums, don't they?

For some reason it grows well for me - but not for my daughter! I think one thing is to only expect it to do 3 or 4 years, and to cut it back once the flowers are beginning to dry out.

Your garden has become a thing of beauty and there are some really lovely spaces in it!
Have you had that owl for very long? I don't recall seeing it before.
I love all the splotches of colour!

The recipe looks like something I'd like. I wonder if it freezes well.

The garden is now integrating so that the old and new are less obvious! It is less pristine than it was, but I do my best to keep on top of grass growing where it shouldn't, and the dead-heading!

The owl was a gift from my sister - I think in 2018 when we moved here, but it might have been 2019, so it is now quite well weathered. It turns up in pictures of the garden now and again - and has been known to move from one place to another as the fancy takes me.

And I think the chili/macaroni cheese would freeze fine, although I haven't tried yet.

It really is comfort food - I think it might crop up quite often over the autumn and winter!

The owl is actually carved wood - but well weathered over the past few years. He was a gift from my sister.

By the way - I really liked the steampunk hat you were wearing in your picture the other day. I wombled off on a search to find a picture of me in mine and forgot to go back and say so!

So - for fun, there are a couple of pictures of me in this post. But my hat looks even better in this picture of my, then 8 yr old granddaughter, who decided it looked better the other way around...
