I have already told him that you are earning your strips. He remembers those days very well when he was young.

Why go to purgatory?
1. Booze will be cheaper here.
2. It happens almost every month, as for us 3X a year.
3. Free to get in.
4. Crash space and I usually make Breakfast in the morning.

But I'm not trying to persuade you into going. ;)

Well yes and no.

After I was offered the job and put in my two weeks, I get a call from my recruiters saying that they forgot to talk to accounting about it. They have to get the signatures for the approval, then I am good to go. I just don't want to be in the position of, "Hey we like you to be on our team, and we know you quit your job to join us, but we can't pay you. So good luck!"

I am optimistic about this situation, it is just letting to bureaucracy being handled and rushed. This is a major international shipping company. I think they have the funds for someone like me.

But yea, I look forward to seeing you on the 9th. It will be great I already have a lunch buddy!!
