Since we are considering moving to Florida, I'd like to ask you:

How do you feel about living in the path of hurricaines?
Have you ever considered moving out of the state because of this weather factor?
Do you know of many people who have left FL because of that?

The reason to fear florida is the mosquitoes, not the hurricanes ( ... )

Aren't you sweet to go to the trouble and time to give us so much info. With what happened in Louisiana of late, I guess the whole country hears 'hurricaine' and starts to worry. I will share your comments with Marcia because that is a concern for her. She had never been to Florida except for a flight layover/connection until earlier this month when she (with the start of bronchitis) took Father there for his assisted living relocation. She was quite impressed with the area but wasn't there long enough to get a great look around. We are hoping to get down for a few days near Christmastime to visit with Father and Marci's brother and sister in law and maybe get closer to a decision. Thanks again, dear person!

does that mean they named storms that normally wouldn't have been named?

And will storm Alpha be all macho and pushy?

Ha! That's funny...like an alpha male or something, right?

And yes, is a storm just kisses the lower limit of bp that could qualify as a named storm, and they know it's weakening, they might not name it.

when you said "staph" for your staff meeting? Sorry, got a good laugh. Some of my meetings are deadly, too! :-}

Staph meetings: yes, this is a joke I've been using since I started working, and for the most part, no one thinks it's funny but me. You're one of the rare few.

I'm usually the only fan of my wit.

I understand. Sometimes it's better when folks don't understand us!

I thought it was great!

Hey! I have a staph meeting today! What an appropriate spelling!

Good luck with Wilma. I hope it loses strength on the way....
