So, I didn't quit my job today, although I did tell the principal I am exploring other options. I'm so sick of how some people there are...mostly towards the students, but also to fellow teachers...and I use the term "fellow" VERY lightly. I love the students so much and I can't work at a place that allows other people to treat them unfairly.  I

i know what you mean. i remember when i was in eighth grade my teacher was thinking about leaving because parents thought she was to strict but i knew she only did it because she meant well. well to make long story short after so many yrs. two of the best teachers that i had, had left because parents and students think that they are way to harsh when in reality they are teaching you a valuable lesson and responsibilty for high school and for the real world. that is why the good teachers are hard to find cause principals dont want to deal with the issue of students complaining to their parents about how they are being taught. which defies the purpose of them being called principal. well keep ur head up and i recomend a good school in the bx called st. athanasius school very small yet very family oriented. wish you the best!!!!

My principal seems to not care about morals at all...but if a parent complains (even if it is a ridiculous comlaint), he'll fold like a cheap camera. It drives me crazy.

You just need to be happy, whatever that may mean. If its somewhere else, then so be it.

I'm happy where I am...but in some ways I can't take it.

Plus, good medical benefits would be a huge plus...
