is it manufactures...or manufacturers...?

Aimee and Kyle and I just debated the correct wording on this for the HVAC ppt. for about 10 minutes.  I prevailed with "manufacturers.... a manufacturer is someone who manufactures something. and since these companies make the HVAC units.... they manufacture them"  haha yay! go grammer and correct spelling ( Read more... )

However, the word "manufacture" can also be used as a noun meaning "a thing that has been produced." So you could say "HVAC units are the manufactures of these companies" and not be incorrect.

and if any candy is going to become pirates, it should definitely be mAAAAARGHs bAAAAARGHs.
