I've never really embraced my faith.

At times, I even tried to deny being a believer.

Yet, for some reason, the Pope's passing is having a profound effect on me.

It's not something that will make me be a gung-ho Catholic...but I feel so sad. I prayed for his soul today. Like millions of others. It felt good, it felt missed.

I think that this is the first year where I've REALLY enjoyed giving presents, more than recieving them, and it has truly made it a magical experience. Smiles and great reactions made my whole day.
