StubbyMeg04: IDK, MY BFF JILL?

Jul 04, 2007 00:20

I would like to be the Best Buy Greeter. I guess I never really paid attention but the guy who stands in the front of Best Buy has just such a great job! Today I went to Best Buy and the second I walked in he said "Hey whats up" and that's it. There was no "can i help you?" "would you like a signature hand demo?" "can i offer you a bag" ( Read more... )

The tension IS high. I don't mind touching the customers but I can recognize that they don't always want to be touched. I like more laid back greeting TOO.

ugh I hate how we over greet our customers @ BBB. We have to say hello to everyone, multiple times, and offer everyone a cart. They get so pissed off after they've passed 4 employees.

btw, I cannot stop saying "IDK my BFF Jill" in casual conversation.

I KNOW.. I think we annoy a lot of customers too. I don't mind seeing if people want help but I don't like to bombard people with lots of questions all at once.

SO DO MY FRIENDS AND I!! I like to write it on random dry erase boards too. Best phrase ever.

i HATED when i worked at pacsun during the christmas season and we were forced to say hi and "is there anything you're looking for?" good god, that shit pisses me off, and i'm pretty relaxed, so i can imagine how annoying it must have been to other people. people KNOW what they're looking for when they go in a store, so let them go find it and then ask questions. or if they don't know, they're just scanning, in which case you don't need to mention anything at all. ugh.

B+ in poetry?! wow, and you didn't even need my help. see, i told you that you'd be fine.

Yeah, especially in a mall, because customers are generally just aimlessly walking around going into lots of stores, so often times there ISN'T really anything in particular that they're looking for right when they walk in.

Well, the professor graded reallllllllly easy so don't be too proud of me :)

Hahahaha. I've definitely noticed the fabulous job that the Best Buy greeters have. It makes me giggle that someone else caught that too :)
