UCSD

is like a sneezy eucalyptus-bound heavenly concrete building thing of Innfinate Joy and Madness.

it's like SC with eucalyptus trees. it's got a sun. and it's got wind. and it's got sail boats. and a beach. and it's got weird sculptures of SunGods, plastic pipes, and anchors all over the place. and dorm halls that are named after sailing ships and space shuttles. and no football team. and nerdy engineering people. and jeans. and flipflops. and t-shirts. and:

a brand new La Jolly Playhouse that the university uses during the school year
at which
plays are previewed before they go onto Broadway
that are
put on by Tony-award winning faculty
who
teach undergrad and graduate students
who are
in the third best theatre program in the country
including
being in the Top 10 graduate programs in the country
(their other top programs are all biochem, engineering, psychology, chemistry, biology, sciencestuff etc.)
which
all use 6 different theatres around campus, the best ones
being located
right across the street from my residential college
and
adjacent to the theatre department classrooms and building
which is
right in the middle of a eucalyptus framed view of sunny beautiful, heavenly san diego.

can anyone venture a guess on where I'll be going next year? In the process of filling out my SIR right now. :)

In other news: I've decided that the day I turn 18 I will be piercing both of my ears. And I want to get a little teeny nose piercing. any suggestions on how best to hide these adornments when I visit my parents at, say, christmas?

In other news: Best moment was sitting across from an admissions counselor and having my mother ask: "What about her grades? Is there any way we get to see her grades? Don't you take attendance in the classes?" and having the counselor say

nope.

yep.
