Shell turn it on tonight then... :) Not sure about just leaving it active behind WoW, cos it drops me out of that if it "rings" and that could be messy if it happened at an inopportune time...
Though I mean to see whether an old monitor can be plugged into my laptop and made to run dual-haed. This would be good for Thottbott and having comms stuff (still have to sort IM) running on desktop that's not behind WoW.
Worked! :) Had to set WoW to "Windowed" mode which might have slowed the framerate down, but largely it just worked.
Skype is a nasty processor hog when it wants attention though; strangely this calms down as soon as you get into a call and it's no problem thereafter...
