Don't discard everything amazing you did do in your life so far because of this one unfortunate turn. And this is just one turn in your life, in which you are sure to encounter many pitfalls and triumphs. Volleyball was a piece of your life that provided you with a room full of awards, years of recognition and a fistfulls of memories. But living your life now like volleyball is all you were is waste of everything else I know you are and everything else you have the oppurtunity of becoming. Your identity is certainly not gone. A lot of people associated you with volleyball, but that was certianly a part of your life that I was hardly involved in and I have a great appreciation of you as an individual. You are no let down Lesley. As I have said before, I am happy you are getting the oppurtunity to live a life not governed by your sport. I understand that it will take time to discover who you are without volleyball, but in the meantime, don't forget you ARE a person without it.
