well... figure, now you have time for another job... and if youre not fired, having a shift at dunkin every now and again will be a bonus.

we need help at my work
its $8 an hour and like 10 hours a week youll get any hours between 830am and 1230 pm like probably 9-12 or 1230.....

definately couldnt live off of it if i werent living at home, but its something, you know?

I don't even know where you work lol.

But thanks for the help.

The way I am starting to look at it is, it's a way to make me get another job out of dunkin since for such a long time I have wanted to quit anyways.

your boss doesn't make sense. If he didn't fire you and you're not on the schedule then that means your technically laid off. At least thats what makes sense to me. In which case you can collect unemployment. You can collect unemployment at anytime you are employed but not working. They send you like half your usual pay. At least I think thats how it works. Don't quote me on that.

That sucks though. He must have hired you knowing your schedule situation. If you told him you had to work a specific schedule after you were hired than he should have said something then not now after he already agreed to let you work a set schedule.

Your manager sucks.

If you get another job though, unless its under the table, you can't collect unemployment. Which kind of sucks.

Hope this helps? At least if you collect unemployment you'll have time to get some stuff out of the way that you've been putting off and still be bringing in money.

It just sucks because it's not like I haven't been there awhile. Beginning of Feb. would have been a year at richmond dunkin yet just NOW he can't fit around my schedule? Mind you, all I was asking for was 6-2 shifts. Before my shifts were 7-3. What a HUGE difference.

As for now Nick & I applied for unemployment just in case when we start applying for jobs we can't find a job within the next few weeks *shrug*. Though as everyone said, I have a better chance at finding a job because I was a shift manager and I am serv safe certified if I want to apply at a rest. or something. idk...

I hate dunkin donuts. Oh and get this. There finally conclusion on them firing us was that we called out on monday because it snowed 8 inches and we couldn't get into work. Yes, cause i'm really going to risk my life driving from warwick to chariho just for work.

I'd talk to Matt. He's still the district manager right? Either way, I know Arthur is the manager in Richmond. I know he stinks both physically and as a boss haha. So just talk to the DM. Technically, it was only a request for a shift change. If he couldn't accomodate that he couldn't honestly fire you. Well he didn't fire you, he suspended the both of you.

All I can remember is that they can't suspend you on spot for something of that nature. They have to give you a warning first and then 2nd strike is a suspension 3rd strike is a layoff.

As for firing you for not making it into work on Monday? Read the manual. Inclement weather conditions that make for unsafe driving is a valid reason not to be able to make it to work. Especially when you are driving further distances.

You could always go to Charlestown. It's an extra 10 minutes on your driving on occasion cause of all the lights on Route 1 but Diane's a good boss.

He's still the district manager, yes. BUT, this was mainly his idea isn't that wonderful? He was mainly involved in it. So even if I wanted to apply to Charlestown, I probably would not be hired because of Matt. Same for any other dunkin because I know and am friends with the managers at Tower Hill, Preston in CT and Preston Gas in CT, because they've all been my managers at one point in time but.... Matt is there DM so... no job there.

Matt and Arthur are the two main people that decided on this. And I think they knew what they are doing is wrong for the factor arthur had to tell nick "I need to talk to you to privately so NO ONE can hear." lovely huh?

All this just makes me want to call corporate since I am no longer in the company, I cant get in trouble.
