So I got onto the doctorate course. I've spent so many anguished words here discussing my failures and now I've made it I'm not really sure what to say. It's at Oxford. DVD Suggestions please
I have an old friend I am seeing in a couple of days. She has been quite seriously ill for the past 12 months. She had to leave work, have operations and has been pretty much housebound the whole time. She spends most of her time watching DVDs and I want to get her a good box set. Question is, which one? The Future Is Now, Nearly Now, Well I Can See It From My House...
Recently I got a notification informing me that I was "now following the Dalai Lama on Twitter!" Soon after, even more weirdly, was "The Dalai Lama is now following you on Twitter!" And so, like someone repeatedly prodding you on the arm when you're stoned and trying to make a cup of tea, it finally hit me. We totally live in the future.
