I concur. On one hand, it would be good to include the right wing into the government, to dispel some of their "we can do it much better" illusion.

To a point, it worked in 2000. But people seem to forget very quickly. Plus, I really don't want the right wing to shape our policies.

This morning, I had to remember that famous Einstein quote: "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."

I very much agree with what some voices say now: If red and black go on in the same way, the next Bundeskanzler might be called Strache. Häupl added "Und dann: Gott schütze Österreich!" (interesting to hear this from a red politician...)
Therefore, I somehow like the Tyrolian Greens' idea of a red-black-green combination. It would exclude the right wing, and although the greens are not "necessary" for a majority, they would bring new ideas and a change in style. Also, this combination would have a 2/3-majority. Of course this version does include risks - but any other does, too...

And yeah, people forget, don't see or don't want to see. Never underestimate human stupidity... There is a not insignificant number of people who will NEVER understand that (a) so-called protest-voting doesn't lead to anything, and (b) there will never come some jack of all trades who is able to solve all problems.

But mankind doesn't learn, if you look at history...

makes me almost look forward to the US presidential election. But if McCain wins, I think I'll lose my faith in mankind...
