to quote mel, "that's a lot of snow!"...
yesterday may have been the second day of spring, but don't tell old man winter that. we got 11.5" at the airport, bringing the season's total to 96 inches, and making this the 2nd snowiest winter ever in milwaukee.

well, since we've gotten 10" of snow (so far) today, and i can't drive to madison like i had planned, i did my taxes! yay! (or something) -
california pictures...
instead of working on something productive, i've been uploading my pictures from my trip to oakland and san francisco to flickr and finally have them ready for public viewing. i was able to remember where almost all of them were taken, so check out the map, too. -

so today's the first day of spring (horray!), but tonight and tomorrow we're supposed to get up to 5" of snow. that's how this winter is. it's sick and twisted, and now it's vindictive. i just woke up here in milwaukee, and i'm feeling a bit like dorothy. there was fog in chicago yesterday morning, so everything at o'hare was backed up all day. my flight from chicago to milwaukee was delayed from 9:30 to 11:20, so i didn't get home until 1am. i went straight to bed, and now i'm feeling like being in california was a long dream ( Read more... ) -

i have approval from my boss to attend the aam annual meeting AND he'd "be happy to provide travel support from the center" if i'm not covered! (that means more funds with which to pamper guz for letting me stay with her!) i'll be registering soon! yay!
