Well, I'd assume that he did it in multiple long takes. And then the sound editor spliced it all together, taking the best bits from different takes. It's how I'D do that. And since audio is more forgiving than video about splicing, you can get away with more.

As for the pronunciation, I believe both are correct, depending upon what Germanic or Latin language grammar rules you choose to use.
