Well, I heard that before I showed up there was some famine, and something in the way of fighting, but I don't think I've heard of anyone dying. I don't think we even can die.

Still, three out of four, right?

Well, they said "Red Asian Flu", but that sure sounded like some kind of plague.

Have a thoroughly mideival view on disease

How do you protect yourself against disease? You can't see it or touch it, it strikes without warning, and once you're sick, there's not a lot you can do unless you can afford a healer, and they don't work for free.

We can try our best to prevent the transfer of disease from one person to another - staying in our homes if we're sick, for instance. Washing our hands often. There are a number of doctors here to help out as well.

And that works against plague? Washing your hands?

It's not the plague. It's just a new strain of the flu.

I've been in too many cities hit by all kinds of sickness to write it off as "just" anything. It's always ugly.

I am. My kido has been taken from me, but I can still take care of people.
