Aoi nodded with the rhythm of the song. Something dark and heavy, something full of energy.
A fat saturated sound suddenly, followed by some distortions. Aoi grinned already imagining his fingers dancing on the strings and tapped his foot along with the melody that was faster now.
There was almost a sexual impression to it.
He watched, his cigarette hanging between his full lips with a slight smile.
Uruha's fingers were moving in the air according to the notes played and Aoi could see the scene of the solo in his head. His gaze wandered then here and there and he admired his shy smile, the way his eyes were riveted to one side of the room, for his guitars.
Uruha at this right instant, was happy. Aoi could tell. His face was illuminated like a kid decorating a Christmas Tree. Sometimes he would supress a smile, his lips pursing tight.
You can be proud yeah...
It was the humble Uruha who was proud of his work but not enough to announce it bluntly. He would always look for Aoi's praises, because more than Reita, Ruki or Kai, Aoi was also a guitarist and no one in the band could understand him better.
They could be far from each other on stage, it was easy to decipher when one or another wasn't in a good mood. Aoi knew that a nervous Uruha would commit mistakes. Uruha knew that Aoi would mess up phrases when something was bugging him.
Yet, they wouldn't tell each other openly that they could see the signs. They could see things about each other that no one else in the band could. And it was a taboo they silently shared since the debuts of the band.
Aoi was brought out from his thoughts as the song ended and Uruha stood up from his spot to settle in front of his screen, reducing the speakers to silence before another demo would begin without his consent.
He then turned around on his swivel chair and made his best to hide a grin that Aoi could see anyway.
- I need to fix few phrases but, so far, what do you think?
Aoi cleared his throat, made his best not to reveal a smile and put his consuming cigarette on the edge of the ashtray, thirsty. He grabbed the fresh beer on the table in front of him and took a sip under Uruha's curious gaze.
Refreshed, he looked back at him:
- It does need few changes but, this is such a nice piece Uruha. Congratulations...
He finally showed a smile and appreciated the show, Uruha's upper lip raising cutely in the way.
You're happy.
- Thank you.
Why are you all shy whenever you make a good work...
- Ruki will be thrilled, it's the type of song he affectionates.
- Kai also, I think he can play very agressive drum lines!
- What about Reita? The bass can be very strong in this one. There's a lot of potential.
- Hm I'll bring the demo tomorrow at the studio.
Aoi bowed his head down:
- Thanks for the hard work U-sama...
The other burst into laughter.

The new album had been released few weeks ago. Somehow the tension and nervousness of the members had disappeared but to be quickly replaced with the stress of the upcoming tour and the great apprehension to finally play the new songs in front of their fans.
They had all listened to the staff, that the band shouldn't pay attention to the few violent critics against them but should instead focus on the good reviews to stimulate their compositions for a future album which could surpass DIVISION.
That day Uruha came to their spot at the company with a weird sensation. It had certainly been because of Reita's message that morning, saying something unusual.
"Come a little early today."
It wasn't like Reita to give orders. Or at least, when he did, it was the funny Reita who would try to make you laugh by showing off his manliness.
So Uruha didn't ask anything, got out of his place earlier than planned and with no surprise he found Reita at the floor of the meeting room, sitting quietly with a coffee.
- Yo.
Even his greeting wasn't usual. No smile, no warm expression. His face was filled with worry, it was all Uruha could tell.
- Hey, why did you make me come so early? And where are the others?
Reita waited for Uruha to sit next to him.
- Probably preparing for the meeting at their places. Because I was out early today and found something. I could have told Ruki but knowing his easily offended nature...I thought you were the best person to talk to first.
Uruha raised eyebrows:
- Why not Kai?
- Kai would worry too much. I'd rather have them discover the matter when they come here than make them panic like crazy.
Uruha frowned:
- Just say it, I'm the one worrying now.
Reita sighed, grabbed a magazine on the chair next to him, opened it and handed it to Uruha.
The blonde noticed it was an interview of Aoi, and it felt like déjà vu. Uruha quickly glanced at Reita and saw the other urging him to read.
When he noticed that Uruha was too long, he finally showed him a certain question and said loudly:
- Here. Read from here. You already know about Aoi's childhood!
Uruha replied bluntly:
- But it's still interesting to read about it...
- Read here I said.
The blonde obeyed, read each words slowly, again and again and finally tore his gaze away from the paper to look into Reita's eyes.
- He thought of...
- Leaving us.
Uruha stared at the pages, at Aoi's pictures, at his words, hurt.
- Why...? That's stupid. Does he think that leaving us before we collapse will make any good? It will just destroy everything! Our friendship, our hardwork for ten years, the fans!
Reita nodded, Uruha saying the words he had in mind.
- I can't imagine that he was standing on stage with us that day with ideas of a fugitive.
- That's why I couldn't tell the others out of the blue. They will read it when the time comes, but for now, I think we should act like we do everyday with Aoi.
Uruha looked absent mindly at the large table.
- But why did he keep it a secret and instead said things to a journalist? We are his bandmates, his friends.
Reita shrugged his shoulders:
- He didn't want to hurt us?
Uruha shook his head:
- It hurts me more reading it in a magazine than him telling us honestly.
Reita could see how mad Uruha was. He was thinking that it hadn't been a good idea to tell his best friend first after all...Or perhaps it was the fact Aoi and Uruha were both guitarists and somehow, they had to be closer than the rest of the band for some logical reason involving their guitars.
But I play bass.
I'm more connected to them than Kai for example.
It was annoying all of sudden. Why did he care about being close to the guitarists or not? Uruha was his best friend and Aoi a great bandmate and friend.
It wasn't about their roles but about their friendship.
- Aoi's clumsy with his feelings.
Uruha looked coldly at him and Reita felt a shiver running through his spine.
- It's just an excuse.
Reita considered his words, tried to think about the situation with calm but the only thing he was sure about was the fact a storm was coming, at full speed.
And he hoped it wouldn't create more damages, because when Reita was looking at Uruha's troubled face, he could see the pain.

----------------------------
Hey hey. I swear this year it becomes hard to write and I really miss this but well, life...
Of course I found inspiration from that Club Zy interview, I mean, it kinda created a wave of dramatic tweets all written to Aoi "please stay" when in fact, it had been only doubts and fear of seeing the band's end in disastrous arguments...ANYWAY. I think this story will last for a long time first because, I can't write all the time between work & uni, and second, because it goes with the flow of the Aoiha interactions/happenings. I don't want to think about a detailed plot here, I just want to feed it with the bits I get with Twitter, live reports, interviews. I want it to stay a little realistic.
And I'll try to update other stories as well. :)
