Beat Artist : Chapter 4 : Deal

Jun 27, 2010 01:15

((So good news and bad news. Good news is I finally have the fourth chapter done. Bad news is I hate the ending of this chapter and I rushed it. Also, I have no idea how to go about the 5th chapter x_x ))

"You're off early..." Aaron and the boy met half way and it was
revealed that they were about the same height; the black hair having
an inch over Aaron. "Cameron."

"Now I wonder what the reason for that was." Cameron mockingly stated.
Aaron gave a playful glare and stuck his tongue out. Cameron shrugged
"Some people are so helpless by themselves." Aaron went in to push his
shoulder, but his hand was caught and pulled in. He was locked in by a
sudden embrace. "I wanted to see if you were ok after that." Cameron
mumbled with his face in Aaron's shoulder.

Then before Aaron could respond he was pushed away, Cameron's hands
still on his shoulders. "But I WASN'T expecting you to be waiting out
here in the cold for me!" His voice raised slightly.

"I felt like it." Aaron stated in retaliation. "Besides..." his eyes
looked away for a moment then back, "It's not that cold out tonight."
Aaron puffed his chest, "So be greatful I waited!" A quick jab of
Cameron's finger deflated him.

"Quiet you." Cameron grinned and took Aaron's hand. "So..." his voice
trailed off.

"So what?"

"I dunno. I was hoping now that you'd have some idea. You were the one
who waited all night for me after all."

"Um..." He was horrible at being put on the spot like that. "Are you
hungry?" Aaron questioned. It was the only thing he could think of.
Not to mention the fact that he had barely eaten anything all day. So
he had everything to gain as well.

"Yeah, kinda...but what's open? Places close early early around here."
The reason was being all the drunk people comng home from the clubs.
No one, not even fast food places wanted to deal with them. And who
could blame them? Horned up, drunk, old men. The very thought was
disturbing. "And by the time it takes to get cross town, it'll be too
late." Aaron contemplated this.

"Then..." his already held hand clamped tighter on Cameron's. "Come
over..." Aaron's face turned a strawberry red. "I have some food in
the fridge. At least I'm sure I do..." a nervous laughter escaped his
mouth. There was an awkward pause between them. Both boys knew that
Aaron's offer wasn't something to be taken lightly and Aaron knew,
that he was already in slowly simmering water. After what happened
that afternoon, that simple statement from that blasted woman, it
lingered in his mind.

Cameron sighed. "I dunno. Maybe I should just head home...early day
tomorrow. My shift starts for the day crowd. Not much, but hey, it's
all good." Aaron looked away discouraged.

"Oh."

"But you kn-"

"No. No it's cool. I understand. We already got Penny breathing down
our necks as it is." Aaron admitted. And honetly, that was the first
that Cameron had heard of it. "And it's - "

"Shut up Aaron!" Cameron scolded. "I was kidding. Of course I'll go."
He rested his head on Aaron's shoulder as he went to his side. "And
who cares what that witch has to say." a small chuckle was shared
between them. With that the two locked arms and walked off. Cameron
clung close to Aaron, not letting him go.

The trip back to Aaron's apartment was quiet, with not many words
spoken. But finally, after a good hour of quick walking and a solemn
metro ride, the two boys arrived at Dawn Apartments; Aaron's place of
residence. The building was quite large with an opening to the inside
and many rooms within.

Aaron stayed in apartment 494 which was on the other side of the of
the apartment complex. They made their way to the third floor and went
inside. It was quaint, furnished just enough to get along properly. A
sofa, a small coffee table infront that and a tv in the small living
room. A small kitchen to the left as one walks in. To the right there
was a small hallway, with a bathroom on one side and a bedroom on the
other; Aaron's bedroom.

The golden brown haired boy put his bag down by the wall that
separated kitchen and living room, Cameron did the same with his bag.
There was pause of action that permeated the air before Cameron spoke
up. "Hey, do you mind if use your shower? I always feel kind of gross
after work." Aaron, who had been littering around in the living room
loomed up at him.

"Sure, no problem." Cameron trodded over to bathroom, and before he
entered, "Wash those eyes off you." Aaron called out jokingly. The
white door shut behind Cameron. The bathroom was small, enough room to
walk from the door to the shower that was infront of the person when
they walked in. And that was about it. The toilet and sink were
opposite the left hand wall when one walked in and a tiny wall heater
adorned the white wall. Cameron stripped and got in the shower.

Aaron meanwhile, waited for his shower to clear up by starting some
homework he had been putting off. He wanted to clean the day off of
him. It wasn't that he was dirty; he just felt that way. Meeting with
Penny always did that for him. He opened a philosophy book, staring at
the page in front if his eyes and sighed. Retrieving a pencil from one
of the side pockets of his bag, the boy started his homework.

After a bit the water inside the bathroom finally shut off and a
minute later the door opened. Cameron stepped out half naked with
nothing but a towel covering him up. Aaron didn't pay attenion as the
black haired boy came to him and sat next to him on the floor just in
front of the couch. He nuzzled in close to Aaron, his bare skin
against Aaron's bare arm. And that was alerted Aaron to Cameron's
company. "You're naked." Aaron stated, not bothering to look up from
his book

"That's right." Cameron retorted. The answer annoyed Aaron. But with
that he stood up. It was his turn at the shower. "Help yourself to
whatever is in the fridge." Cameron waved him off.

In the shower once again, it reminded him of that morning. Though, as
of that current moment it was a completely different situation. He was
not just woken up with some stranger in bed next to him; he was with
someone he actually wanted to be with. The boy he had been seeing
since he didn't know when. Things were confusing between them at
first, and he'd be lying to himself and everyone else if he said they
still weren't, but now, for at least now, Aaron had who and what he
wanted. So why was he so frustrated with everything. Was it the job?
Had to be. That's what everyone would say. Was it Penny's intervention
with everythig in his life, including his love life? That's what he
told himself anyways. But the sheer fact of it all was that he was
unhappy.

He slapped the shower knob down and that consequently turned the water
off. Drying and dressing he left the bathroom only to find Cameron on
the couch; half naked still with an empty carton of Chinese food
sitting on the coffee table in front of him. "You're still naked."
Aaron bluntly stated.

"I ate the left over Chinese food." Cameron completely avoided Aaron's
statement.

"I did say help youse-"

"It was boring." Simply put of course.

"Sorry my food could not entertain you."

"No chicken, pork, no nothing."

"You know I don't eat meat stupid." Aaron retorted. He shot Cameron a
glare. "Get dressed."

"Why?" Cameron asked. "Being naked, here, with you," He sprawled his
limbs out over the couch; taking a more comfortable position. "Just
feels so natural." Aaron sighed. Cameron giggled and patted the seat
next him. The brown haired boy sat on the couch, but farther away from
Cameron. The black haired boy scooted a bit closer; a clearly
disapproving look on his face. He poked Aaron on the cheek.

"What's your deal? Stop acting weird." Aaron didn't answer. Cameron
pulled on a lock of the other boy's hair gently. No response. A pinch;
still nothing. He put his pointer fingers to Aaron's mouth and made
him smile. "Turn that frown," Aaron couldn't help but laugh at the
ridiculous gesture. "There it is."

There was silence for a moment. "It's her fault...isn't it? I mean,
the reason you feel like that." Aaron's head dipped down along with
his eyes. "She's always butting into our business. Like she owns us.
But aren't we free to do what we want?" Cameron shook his head.
"Personally I'm tired of it. Her I mean. Not you baby." His hand
slipped to Aaron's thigh. "I wish we could have met under different
circumstance." Aaron smiled at that and nodded. His downcasted gaze
became soft and his body leaned into Cameron.

"But we didn't. Because we both got ourselves involved with her, we
became involved with eachother." Aaron sighed and Cameron frowned.

"I don't care what she says or does Aaron. I just want what I do or
say to be with you. We've been playing this game for too long. I just
want it to end; so I can be happy." Aaron had no chance to answer back
to Cameron's statement because once Cameron had finished he pushed
Aaron on to his back. The black haired boys naked, toned body liner
above Aaron. "So you can be happy as well." The faintest grin spread
over Aaron's face as he wrapped his arms around Cameron. He pulled the
black haired boy down and their lips met.

*

The next morning Aaron woke up in his own bed. At least he was naked
in his own. Although he knew EXACTLY what happened last night, it
still seemed a bit fuzzy. Cameron had that sort of effect. And
speaking of him; when Aaron looked over there was Cameron, down on his
stomach, face buried in his pillow, and limbs spralled everywhere.
Such a messy sleeper Aaron thought as his body maneuvered closer to
the warmth of Cameron's. He placed his arm over him and Cameron
stirred. A small moan escaped him. Dragging his face across the
pillow, Cameron turned to Aaron and met him with a kiss.  "Morning."

Aaron smiled "G'morning. How'd you sleep?" He asked through a whisper.

"I slept well thanks." Cameron rubbed Aaron's hip. "You?"

"It was nice. Could have been better. If someone wasn't taking up all
the space." He joked in reply. Aaron sat up and petted Cameron's head.
"Thank you." He muttered.

"What?" Cameron was sat up as well and moved closer to Aaron.

"Nothing." Aaron's feet rubbed Cameron's. Pulling the covers back, all
was revealed. But it wasn't like either boy wasn't already used to the
other. Aaron stood up from the bed and was followed shortly by Cameron.

"So," Cameron grabbed Aaron's butt. "How are you?" Aaron glared and
shoved him into the wall.

"Shut up!" his voice raised. Cameron stuck his tongue out.

"You love it."

"I said shut up." Cameron deciding not to, went and embraced Aaron
from behind.

"You don't always need to be so irritated in the morning...or distant."

Aaron payed a gentle touch on the toned arms wrapped around his torso.
"Sorry. But it's hard to change habit." Cameron nodded. He understood
the plight of his would be lover, how could he not? It was almost the
same as his own. Except the sex of course.

But what of their relationship? Just what were they in eachother eyes?
There were feelings, real feelings, between them. But there was that
constant. Penny. Her word was law to them; and it was astounding that
she has been quiet, for the most part, up untill now. The two could
only wait and play their game of cat and mouse until they were caught.

A harsh alarm went off from the coffee table. A mix of annoying door
bell and vibrations that rattled the small, glass table in what could
barely be called a living room. Cameron sneered at the sound. He knew
that it meant his time was up. Time for work. His arms fell from
Aaron's waist and he gathered his things in melonchaly.

The time in between dressing and leaving was almost silent; and when
Cameron left, Aaron kissed him good bye. The apartment was quiet once
again. Then on the couch once more, he laid back. "I just want things
to end. I need to get out. Even it's impossible. I check the
water...too hot or too cold? We'll see."
