“I thought this is a tradition only the bride and her maids practice,” Sheva teases, holding still as Kakà helps him into the aforementioned items.
“Something borrowed - ”
The curtains of Sheva’s vision sweep close as Kakà shushes him, presses his lips gently against the corner of one eye, then the other, then on flushed cheeks and finally the rosy kiss. “No demands, no interest, just - keep it safe,” and Sheva knows he has in his possession the gift of a heart.
He smiles uneasily. “Um - well, problem. I don’t have anything blue. Not today.”
