I just have to say that I can't wait to hear the results of Eric's fanboy roadtrip last night to meet Jim Butcher for the midnight release party of that latest Dresden Files book, Turn Coat.

I love my geeky book whore. :-)

The Dresden files is sitting on my bookshelf just waiting for time to be read. I didn't like the TV show, but it showed me the possibility that the books are probably fantastic.

I *really* like the Dresden Files. The TV show used some of the best ideas, but it was generally pretty crappy. The books are very fun, with great story lines and engaging characters who grow and evolve over time.
I think you'll definitely like the books. Eric is the one who got me hooked on Butcher's writing.

I agree with curvygoodness! I hated the way the TV show butchered the book. Her and Eric got me addicted, and it's really one of the best series I've ever read.

I liked both, but they were different stories. One was Jim Butcher's work, the other, not so much. I am bitterly jealous that he got to meet Butcher, who is like living the ultimate fanboy dream come true.
