I have contempt for Caitlin Flanagan, but it's not because she chose to be part of a traditional family. It's more the hypocrisy of traveling around the country telling other women that they should stay at home and raise their kids that gets to me. Feminism is what gave her the choice to do what she's doing, instead of forcing it upon her. It is my very strong belief that every woman should have the freedom to choose whatever path they want in life, whether that's a high-powered career, the work of a stay-at-home mother, or something in between...but don't tell other people they are wrong-headed for making a choice that differs from your own.
