At least she brought the cat back - in many of these situations, people are cruel to animals and end up either abandoning, torturing or neglecting/hurting/killing it somehow. As much as she was a pain in the royal buttocks, she did have ENOUGH common sense to return the cat to the store.
With any luck, this cat will be able to go to a better home. Best of luck! ♥
Sadly she may only have taken him there because she wanted her adoption fee back, but yes, at least he wasn't dumped and will hopefully find a much better home now.
I'm curious, why are the cats not spayed/neutered before being adopted out?
Seems it would be the most responsible way to handle it, since you'd then not be hoping the new owner does it. I could see it being not done yet if the animal is too young, but if he started spraying in just "a few weeks" then he wasn't too young to neuter...
We are not supposed to adopt out unless the animal is fixed. Well, new boss, new rules, new desk worker.... Normally, we would do a 'foster to adopt' only for a very young kitten. This guy? Well, I don't know what happened....more co worker suckage
