My supervisor was dealing with a customer at the till today. A lady pulled me to one side. She had a glass fragrance diffuser in her hand, one of the ones that we take out of the packaging and open up so that customers can smell it. It was almost empty and she asked me if she could have it, since it was empty and we wouldn't have use for it any

If she does it at other stores as well, maybe there is some way for all of you guys to kind of put her out of her misery. Where I used to live, it was quite a small community and they didn't stand for that at all.

Yep definitely a scammer. And lol @ osteoarthritis. VERY common and way less severe than rheumatoid arthritis. The guilt trip thing pisses me off so much. Like wtf has that got to do with anything?

No good deed...((and yes be VERY wary of a person whining with entitlement like that, it is usually the indicator of dishonesty, which is the opposite of patience & gratitude)). Perhaps, from now on, no "free" anything to avoid this type of scam. Period.

The lengths people go to for free things has ceased to amaze me anymore. No mater what kind of things they're trying to get.

Our store has a huge Saturday sale twice a year. I've heard about this lady who shows up at every single one and tries to haggle. Fine enough there. But she's abrasive as heck I'm told. Then she'll go through the trash! We sell glass items, she's literally looking for broken glass for projects...but digging in a bin for broken glass is outrageous. We've had to keep an eye on her ever since the trash incident, her hands were all cut up and she was like "yeah? So what tho?" O.O
