So, I work at a bookstore. It's a pretty big book store. And for the most part I enjoy my job. My fellow coworkers on the other hand, oy vey. But this isn't the place to rant about them.

Yes, customers do indeed suck )

You're my kind of people.

Woah, in this day, #5 is an abduction waiting to happen. And it's very unfair to put employees in a position where one expects them to remark about anything controversial - give them a break, they just don't want to get fired. There's this thing called the Internet now where you can vent your spleen if you must. I also don't accept it when it's done to me as a customer by an employee either.

btw, feel free to bitch about co-workers at co_workers_suck.

I do love my job, the people on the other hand, not so much. But it's not every single customer, just a good majority of them. I may be in retail and customer service, and it may be my job to help customers and try my best to give them good service, BUT I am not their servant. I don't get paid to be their maid or butler. Ya know?

Wtf at the painted rocks. Like who thinks it's ok to do that in a private business? Do you know what the significance of the rocks is?

No idea. Even telling them NOT to do it, they still do. We aren't going to follow every single person around. Too many customers and not enough workers for me to follow a person around for hours.

Seconding the "inside a bookstore? Not so much."

Because I thought the whole point to the rock painting was it is supposed to be 'public' where ANYONE can find them or see them. Where anyone who is a fan of painting rocks, or sticks, or whatever can either pick it up and take it home, or take it and leave another, or do a selfie with it, then put it back. It's supposed to be open to everyone.

Inside a bookstore seems 'limiting' somehow. (And plus you're inconveniencing the workers.)

Go google "children, street art, painted rocks" and you'll find a whooole bunch of links. It sounds like a really cool art project to do if one has kids. (And maybe keeps them from doing graffiti.)
